A short time ago, there was an incident with a rogue policeman named Christopher Dorner. Recently he was terminated and he was so furious that he had planned to kill a few fellow coworkers and their families. He ended up killing four people and injuring three. Well, on February twelfth there was a shoot out and Dorner killed one deputy, three other policemen, and he injured three other coworkers. After the shoot out Dorner fled to a cabin in the San Bernardino Mountains about a hundred miles outside of Los Angeles. Law enforcement surrounded the cabin they were waiting for a signal to launch tear gas into the cabin in hopes that it would draw Dorner out. However, this was a very special tear gas called pyrotechnics. This type of tear gas is very very flammable. LAPD didn’t mean for the cabin to catch fire but it did. The cabin was engulfed with flames and eventually burnt down. Finally, when it was safe to enter LAPD found a body in the basement. They found a wallet, a license, and a few other things that would help identify the body because they weren’t entirely sure it was Dorner. So an autopsy was done and dental records were taken so they could make a positive identification on the body. There has been some colloquial speculations that Dorner may have shot himself instead of burning in the fire, but that hasn’t been proven yet. Now people are discussing who should receive the million-dollar reward because tips came in from a few different sources. Nacey Dorner, Chistopher Dorner’s mother, made a statement saying sorry for all those families who lost loved ones and for those who are injured. She said she does not support her son’s decisions but she asked the public to please give her and her family some privacy and respect as they are having a hard time dealing with the tragic events that occurred. Police are now investigating as to why Dorner believed he was wrongly terminated. The reasons are being discussed but nothing has been proven as of now.
